Survey: U.S. and China leaders in tech innovation

On Behalf of | Mar 15, 2017 | Uncategorized

A recent survey points to both the U.S. and China being centers of tech innovation. The survey was by KPMG, and over 800 tech leaders were polled in it. These leaders were asked various questions about technology innovation.

The respondents put the U.S. and China as top tech hubs and top countries when it comes to potential for major tech innovations.

Also, many of the cities that the survey pointed to as being most likely to be the biggest non-Silicon-Valley innovation regions during the next four years were from the U.S. or China. The U.S. had four cities make the top 10 list: New York, Washington D.C., Chicago and Boston. Meanwhile, China had two cities that cracked the top 10: Shanghai and Beijing. No other country had multiple entries in the top 10. Shanghai held the top spot on the list.

So, it appears upcoming years could be very active ones in the tech sector in both the U.S. and China. With these two countries being such major centers in the tech industry, there could be many tech companies that aim to have operations in both of them. So, some U.S. tech companies could have both U.S. and Chinese legal matters arise over the course of their business operations. When a U.S. business has complex legal matters come up for it in China, such as complicated commercial disputes, it may want the advice of a lawyer who understands how to navigate the interplay of U.S. and China law in such matters.
